Inaugural Ceremony of Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Training Center

On 20th August 2014, a new wing was officially added to the project of “HOPE for Women” at the Ashulia School of HOPE. A new section for “Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Training Center” was introduced with the support of H&M, George ASDA, and Matrix Sweaters. In the inauguration program, our honorable guests, Mr. Shantanu Goswami (Head of HR, Admin & Compliance of CIPL), Mr. Mahir Sezer (Country Director of George Bangladesh) & Ms. Lynne Tooms (Senior Director of Sourcing of ASDA) gave their valuable speeches that encouraged our vision to inspire the uninspired.

The chief guest, Ms. Lynne Toomsina, inaugurated the training center by cutting the ribbon. After the official opening ceremony, our honorable guests took a short tour of the project. As they made their graceful effort to come close to know a little more about the people for whom HOPE stands, they were touched by their (Students of HOPE) struggles, challenges, defeats, victories & life. Ariful Islam, a student of HOPE school & Sabiya Khatun, a student of our newly started Industrial Sewing section, shared about their life and how HOPE helped their journey to go forth.

In the concluding part of the program, the students of HOPE school presented a cultural program which was a graceful display of possibilities, talents & joy that the students of HOPE hold for the future.
